Well, Sean Barrett is allegedly 83 years old, so perhaps he’s decided to retire - fair enough, really.

Ah, no - I think it might be a union issue: Audible US has all Mick Herron books read by Gerard Doyle, Audible UK all read by Sean Barrett. Gerard Doyle states he’s a member of SAG-AFTRA, and I’m guessing Sean Barrett isn’t. Which is a shame, as Sean Barrett is hands down the better reader for these books, in my opinion. YMMV, of course.

Appreciate the upload, and none of this criticism is aimed at the uploader (hence 5*) but this narration is awful. Easily the worst “professional” narration I’ve heard. Emphasis on random words in sentences and monotone delivery, it sounds like AI.
It didn’t have to be Sean Barrett who was superb, just a competent narrator, and Doyle isn’t it!
