In April 2016, computer technicians at the Democratic National Committee discovered that someone had accessed the organization’s computer servers and conducted a theft that is best described as Watergate 2.0. In the weeks that followed, the nation’s top computer security experts discovered that the cyber thieves had helped themselves to everything: sensitive documents, emails, donor information, even voice mails.

former NSA expert has spoken many times that the speed the files were downloaded at was much higher than the internet is capable of so more likely it was a transfer to a USB stick. Does the book mention that?

Actually the DNC found that a staffer had downloaded all their email and forwarded it to Wikileaks. They them murdered him.

First in 2001 Osama spent a half million and provoked the US into a war on two fronts that continues after 20 years at a cost of trillions. Then Vlad spent about the same on hacking email and posting on Facebook and put in place an evil clown who has divided the US worse than any time since the Civil War, destroyed the economy and is costing the US 3000+ lives a day. Close, but Putin got the best return, I think. And he doesn’t have to worry about any retribution.

@Gweilo, it’s too bad you aren’t old enough to actually remember race riots from the 60’s, or Watts California burning. Probably the worst race violence you remember is Ferguson Missouri after Darren Wilson was cleared of the killing of Michael Brown. Oh that’s right, that actually occurred when Obama was President, and the damage to the city of Ferguson, MO was done by the Black Lives Matter protestors.
There’s a lot I think Trump could have done better in how he’s handling the federal response to the COVID-19 pandemic. But I’m sure in your fairy tale world Queen Hillary would have handled so much better. Yep, I really would trust a woman to look to my interests that calls 40% of the nation a basketful of deplorables. If nothing else it shows the level of contempt she holds for the American people.
About the only thing that would have been different with Hillary being President now, is that Big Pharma would have been making very large payments to the Clinton Foundation in order to get in on the action of creating a vaccine, just like when she was Secretary of State and Haiti was hit with a hurricane, only this would have been on a global scale. Imagine how much they could have raked in in graft for that.
The economy would still have dropped and those 3,000+ deaths a day would still have occurred. But the Evil Clown wouldn’t be around to blame, only the Queen B…h!

@TotallyDisenfranchised: yeah, I’m sure you’re right. Hillary would have defunded the CDC, went golfing and held rallies for 3 months while denying there was any problem, said it was a GOP hoax, told the doctors to just use use bleach. It would have been just the same.

@Gweilo, must be nice to be a moderator and be able to block anyone who might have a difference of opinion.

@Gweilo, I regret to inform you of this, but you choose to live in a world of double standards and drink greedily from the cup of media lies because it fits your perspective. Personally, I can understand you despising Trump, as an individual I think he’s pretty repugnant, and unworthy of the office of President. That said, I tend to look a bit deeper than the headlines, and I suggest you may wish to start doing the same.
First, the organization he THREATENED to defund was the World Health Organization (WHO) not the Center for Disease Control (CDC). And, in typical blustery Trump fashion (just like the comments to withdraw from NATO unless the other countries pay their fair share, which we haven’t done), he didn’t actually withdraw any funds or future support for them. The US contribution to the WHO is a budget line item, which isn’t going to be approved until year’s end, most like sometime in January or later, as it will be another futile fight between the House and White House. Of course, he may or may not be President after January 20th, so it’s kind of a mute point. But screaming and shouting that he’s going to defund them does make fine press for those that are too ignorant to know how the US contributes to program like the WHO. Especially if the media is slanted against the fool making the statement.

Second, considering both Biden and Sanders were also hitting the campaign trail and holding rallies until various states started with their own lock down program, I think it’s typical of the double standard you impose on Trump that he shouldn’t be able to campaign, but they can. I’m curious as to your views on how Biden, who already has had to apologize in the media for being “handsy” with the women in his campaign and on the campaign trail, and now is accused of sexually assaulting Tara Reed (a former staffer of his) can get barest of media coverage on the issue, while Kavanaugh, got a blasted by the media, an FBI investigation, and a senate hearing. At least Tara Reed’s claims have contemporaneous support, where Ford’s claims weren’t even supported by the people that she said she spoke to or calmed witnessed the supposed assault/rape. Don’t you think it’s a bit odd, how Ms. Reed claims that after the incident that her office was moved to the basement but the media outlets aren’t checking out the timing of that claim. To me, that sounds a lot like Biden may have tried to get rid of her, without having to directly fire her and risk exposure. But investigative journalism is dead in the main stream media, now it’s only sound bites to fit a particular narrative.
Third, I’m not sure Hillary even plays golf, but since she had problems on the compaign trail even walking to her SUV a few times, I don’t think I would recommend her hitting the links. As to Trump playing golf, Obama spent a significant portion of his time out on the golf course, yet the media never complained about his frequent trips to Hawaii to golf. Once again, a bit of a double standard. Yes, Trump has said MANY stupid even asinine things. Some in ignorance, some in arrogance, quite a few taken completely out of context for a sound bite. As the President, he should know that there are enough stupid people that view him as an knowledgable authority figure and might take his advice. As I said previously, he’s done many things wrong, so statements like that taken out of context are one of the many examples you can feel free to point out, but I seriously doubt that he actually intended anyone to inject bleach or spray Lysol down their throats. Again, it’s a sound bite to fit a particular narrative.

Fourth, take a moment and think back what was happening to the US stock market in the late January and early February as COVID-19 was spreading from China to the rest of the world. The stock market was taking daily plunges of 2,000 points. Now for one moment, imagine what might have happened had Trump said in early February “my experts tell me, that there’s going to be between 150K-250K deaths in the US, that the economy is going to crash unless we close down the borders and stop all foreign air traffic. And even then, there are going to be a significant number of deaths and the economy is still going to tank because the US is not prepared for a pandemic.” Do you have any concept of the panic that would have caused?
May 11th, 2020
It’s so easy for you to criticize his performance like Hillary, Biden, Warren, and Sanders have. None of them are sitting in the line for fire, they, like yourself are sitting in the cheap seats.
May 11th, 2020
At some point, someone has to be the cheerleader and try and calm the situation down. It means down playing the situation and not inciting panic. He’s done a poor job of it, and terribly garbled the message, but at least he’s doing something, not hiding in his basement like Biden.
It’s damn easy to criticize like Hillary, Biden, Warren, Pelosi, and Sanders have when they’re sitting in the cheap seats not in the spot light. Try not to do the same.

@TotallyDisenfranchised “must be nice to be a moderator and be able to block anyone who might have a difference of opinion.”
Nothing was deleted. You made 6 posts, 1200 words, of drivel. Yet still whine through your megaphone about being censored.
May 12th, 2020
@Gweilo, 1200 words of drivel huh. Okay, whatever! In today’s world, with almost infinite access to multiple sources of information, if you aren’t willing to look/question beyond what your force feed, then you’ve become the willing slave that they want you to be. Totally dependent on them for your thought process.
It doesn’t matter if your political beliefs are to the left or the right, if you choose to be ignorant, then that’s your choice.
My point is you should try to be a bit more informed before making asinine posts. I’m not saying you should like/appreciate Trump (I know I certainly don’t), that’s a complete waste of time. But if you wish to be more intelligent than say the person that used to post “Orange Man Bad” or the other one that posted “Mueller says hello”, then at least present a point of view with more depth than some media headline.
May 13th, 2020
@TotallyDisenfranchised. You complained I was abusing moderation. Yet all your word salad is still here. So, you were lying.
But if you keep blathering on we’ll have to clean it up. This is not your blog and not a forum. This not your place to “educate”.
I’m not reading your posts past the first line any way, and no one else is even looking. You are just pissing in the wind.
